Something different again; a pork dish with Pearl barley. Pearl barley is barley from which the bran has been removed, resulting in a pearly white grain with a nutty flavor. The Italians use it to make risotto-like dishes, called orzotto, that are quick and easy to make.
Cooking for freeze drying - LYO FOOD has developed a unique technology based on cooking meals for freeze drying - just like a normal dish is prepared. The result is the real taste of a homemade dish. This is the reason why LYO meals taste so good.

Preparation:
Tear open the pouch at the notch. Remove the oxygen absorber from the package. Put the single portion in a bowl, add 287ml of boiling water and stir well. Leave covered for about 10 minutes, stir well again and eat heartily.
For the large pack, pour 388ml of boiling water directly into the pack, stir well, close the Zip Lock and let stand for 10 min. Stir well again and eat directly from the bag.
Delicious! Hearty, well flavored. Lots of meat, 38% according to the packaging. Lots of vegetables too, which are easily identifiable. The pearl barley is actually tastier than rice or pasta. Highly recommended. Rehydrates very well. You easily add too much water, so start with a little less and add more later if necessary. Maybe a bit too salty for some.
