Polish Bigos is a traditional sauerkraut dish. In the old days, bigos was prepared in the winter in a cauldron over a campfire in the middle of the forest.
Hunters would come with a pot of sauerkraut, then add whatever they could have brought with them and let the dish simmer for a few days with a few interruptions by taking the pot off the fire and letting it cool in the snow.
Cooking for freeze drying - LYO FOOD has developed a unique technology based on cooking meals for freeze drying - just like a normal dish is prepared. The result is the real taste of a homemade dish. This is the reason why LYO meals taste so good.

Does not contain carbohydrates like mashed potatoes, rice or pasta. Somewhat heavy meal for your stomach. Does not look appetizing, neither before nor after. Needs a lot of water! At first my verdict was: tasty. It's really a sauerkraut smell and taste; at the same time definitely not traditional. Slightly spicy, but unfortunately also very salty. After half of the bag I started to dislike it. Didn't eat it all either. Looks better in a half portion for lunch. Not as a full evening meal.
