Larger and smaller chunks of meat of about 1-4cm; no gravy. Upon opening packet smells like meat products. Looks appetizing. I ate it cold as a snack and added it to a pasta sauce. Meat has (as a snack) a very slight taste of something...; thyme I don't get out of it. Not salty, even a little bland. As a snack, the meat is actually a little too dry. If you take too big a bite, you almost have to wash it away with water. Most suitable n.m.m. to add to another meal, such as a sauce. The meat falls apart at the slightest pressure of your fingers, that's how it is, just like a stew. So good to incorporate into a sauce, omelet, etc. I just wonder how to keep it good in the field, without a fridge at hand, if you don't eat it in a day. Especially in hot weather, spoilage and food poisoning are just around the corner. I think it is only suitable for use in the field in one day. Ideal to have in stock at home just in case.
